Val Gleris, set apart from Valcanale, feels like a world of its own - quieter, less frequented, with the kind of peace found only in valleys that do not appear in the main tourist guides. At the end of the valley stand the Sette Picche: seven peaks that mark the valley's boundary like a natural backdrop, visible from afar and impossible to ignore.
This is the territory that the Gruppo Sportivo Val Gleris knows better than anyone else. Founded through the passion of a group of local sportspeople, the association manages the Casa del Fondo and has for years accompanied hikers, families and enthusiasts in discovering this valley. In winter you can ski, snowshoe along snowy trails, rent sledges and learn cross-country skiing techniques. In summer the valley becomes a starting point for trekking and mountain biking through the woods.
Download the app and scan the MACA point to discover Val Gleris, its peaks and the story of a sporting community that chose to stay and enhance what surrounds it.
The MACA point is accessible all year round, but before setting off it is worth checking the opening hours of the Casa del Fondo and the sports group's seasonal activities.
